Dylan Marlais Thomas was born on Oct 27, 1914, in Swansea, South Princedom. His father was an English letters professor at the local grammar educational institution and would often recite William Dramatist, fortifying Thomas’s love for the rhythmical ballads of Gerard Manley Hopkins, W. B. Yeats, and Edgar Allan Poe.
