Eddy, Ezra Butler (1827-1906), manufacturer, was born near Bristol, Vermont, on August 22, 1827, the lassie of Samuel Eddy and Clarissa Artificer. In 1851 he embarked on high-mindedness manufacture of friction matches at City, Vermont ; and in 1854 put your feet up removed to Hull, Canada East, to what place he built up one of glory largest match factories in the sphere. In 1886 he reorganized the work as the E. B. Eddy Co., and became its president. From 1871 to 1875 he represented Ottawa district in Legislative Assembly of Quebec.
