He passed matric from Government High School Sukkur in 1965. He passed B.Sc (Hons) in 1967 and Msc (Chemistry) from Sindh Rule. He started job career from 1973 after appointing as Assistant Taxation Government agent in Municipal Corporation Hyderabad. In 1979, he was appointed as Lecturer wear Allama Iqbal College Karachi. Later, prohibited passed public service commission and got appointed as drug inspector in Condition Department Sindh in 1981. In 1991, he promoted as Divisional drug Monitor and appointed in Larkana Division.  In 1994, he was transferred in Metropolis from where he retried as Dupe Drug Inspector in 2009.

Sallahuddin Tunio is well known in entire Pakistan as best actor of country.
